Christ has but one church (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 1:22-23; 4:4-5). It may aptly and Biblically be called the “church of Christ” (cf. Rom. 16:16), along with any other designation found in the New Testament. God does not recognize the legitimacy, nor approve the existence, of any other church. We at the Buchanan church of Christ seek simply to be a local assembly (congregation) of that one church of Christ of which you can read in your Bibles. As human beings, we are less than perfect. However, God’s plan for his church is perfect. It is found in Scripture, and Scripture only (2 Tim. 3:16-17). We would love to have you visit with us to learn more about our plea for all religious persons to unite in the one body (church) of Christ. Time is of the essence. Eternity looms larger every day. Won’t you consider this sincere plea to be “Christians” only, nothing more and nothing less?
